Guidelines for Ethical Research on Sexual Exploitation Involving Children

by ECPAT International in 2019

The Guidelines are a practical tool that can be used as a guiding framework for researchers designing or conducting research on sexual exploitation involving children. They guide the reader through four steps in research design and implementation and set up a series of ‘ethical tasks’ that should be undertaken. Following the guidelines should ensure your project carefully considers possible harms and avoids these or ensures appropriate mitigations.
