Global Study on Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism: Norway

This country report was produced by ECPAT Norway as a contribution to the Global Study on Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism. The report demonstrates that amongst convicted cases of Norwegian offenders of sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism (SECTT) the destination countries included the Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, Romania, the Czech Republic and Gambia. There are also reports of Norwegian traveling child sex offenders in Cambodia, Nepal, India and the Ukraine. With the rapid expansion of the Internet, as well as cheap and easy access to mobile technologies, many Norwegian offenders access children online.
