A value-chain-focused human rights impact assessment conducted by the Roundtable Human Rights in Tourism. The report summarizes the key findings of the value-chain-focused human rights impact assessment (HRIA) conducted in Thailand and in Myanmar from a European tour operator’s (TO) perspective in September 2019. It provides ideas for concrete measures for European TOs to enhance the positive and mitigate the negative impacts of their touristic activities on human rights in the two countries and identifies lessons for TOs conducting further HRIAs in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).
