In this paper, the Dutch government places the fight against sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism in the broader context of combating sexual violence against children in general. The Dutch government proposes new terminology to emphasize this integration of the two phenomena, and delineate the responsibilities of governments, both within and outside their borders, when it comes to protecting children from sexual violence.
