ISPCAN International Congress on Child Abuse and Neglect

The International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) invited the participation of ECPAT International in the ISPCAN International Congress on Child Abuse and Neglect that was held in Calgary, Canada on 28-31 August 2016. The Conference engaged participants in discussions on this year’s edition with a focus on Protecting our Children, Protecting our Future.

The objectives of the Congress were to create a stimulating event where people from all corners of the world can come together to share technical expertise and good practices on how best to protect children from abuse and exploitation and maximise their well-being. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Najat Maalla M’jid, Chair of the high level Task Force on the Global Study, who presented the findings and recommendations of the Global Study on Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism to the large international audience of practitioners and academics.
