ECPAT recently attended the Global Freedom Exchange: A Hilton Worldwide and Vital Voices partnership leveraging leadership to end human trafficking. The Global Freedom Exchange is a two-week experiential, interactive learning, and networking programme, intended to create an international network of activists. The programme ran from 17-28 June and brought together a select group of 26 women NGO leaders, from 13 countries around the world. ECPAT representatives from USA, Poland, Philippines, Mexico, Turkey and Thailand were among those chosen to take part in the programme. Participants are established or emerging leaders recognised for their passion and commitment to ending human trafficking and their innovative approach to this global issue. They include founders, advisors, legal counsels and programme managers from non-governmental organisations.
