This regional report has been prepared as a contribution to the Global Study on the Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism conducted by ECPAT International in collaboration with numerous partners. The Pacific region is comprised of two large island nations (Australia and New Zealand) and 14 smaller, more sparsely populated Pacific island countries. The large islands are more highly developed; social and economic development is generally less advanced and often differs from island to island among the Pacific island microstates, where few laws and policies are in place to counteract the sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism (SECTT).
