World Humanitarian Day is a time to recognize those who face danger and adversity in order to help others. The day was designated by the UN General Assembly to coincide with the anniversary of the 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq. World Humanitarian Day is also an opportunity to celebrate the spirit that inspires humanitarian work around the globe. On World Humanitarian Day, ECPAT International celebrates volunteers and employees from our network of 81 groups in 74 countries all over the world who are committed to ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children. The ECPAT network works tirelessly, often in difficult circumstances, fighting against crimes that many people do not talk about or want to think about. Today on World Humanitarian Day, you can help support their fight to end commercial sexual exploitation of children. How You Can Help.
