Travelling child sex offenders (TCSOs) are not a homogenous group. They can be disaggregated by purpose of travel and degree of intention, this is necessary in identifying how to develop appropriate responses. This study not only investigates the different types of offender but also investigates the way offenders make particular use of smartphone applications to seek out, ‘happen upon’, young legal age sex workers and minors.
