ECPAT International Secretariat Names New Board Leadership

New board will see in the aims and promises of the ECPAT Strategic Framework and strengthen ECPAT’s mandate to end the sexual exploitation of children.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bangkok, Thailand—ECPAT International Secretariat is pleased to announce the appointment of new leadership to its board. From 14 February 2022, Ms. Maud de Boer-Buquicchio will assume the position of Chair of the International Board of Trustees. In accepting the position of Chair of ECPAT International, Maud has said:

“I cannot think of a nobler cause than fighting sexual exploitation of children. Solutions exist. Members of the ECPAT network have demonstrated their commitment and capacity to bring change. Together we will continue to mobilize States, organisations, companies and individuals to do all it takes to stop this global scourge”

The outgoing chair, Carol Bellamy, has served ECPAT for 8 years and been instrumental in its growth and expansion.
