Expert Paper – Commentary on the Global Study on Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism

by Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children in 2016

Several of the key findings of the Global Study on the Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism merit comment. This is particularly true in light of the new commitments the international community and multiple stakeholders have made with Agenda 2030, the new Sustainable Development Goals. There are specific targets throughout this ambitious agenda that call for better protection of children, in all countries, from violence, exploitation, abuse, neglect, torture, trafficking, child labour, child marriage, and a range of violations of the rights of children.
